At an elite university in Vermont, when winter break arrives, students leave, and the atmosphere is transformed as locals and faculty look forward to their cherished annual event: the Christmas Bar Trivia Tournament. This festive tradition is a magical time for Celeste, a meticulous astronomy professor who delights in the reassurance of always having the right answer. When her usual trivia partner jets off to Asia for a lecture tour, Celeste’s team is joined by Max, the lively new offensive coordinator for the football team, who unexpectedly excels in sports trivia—a category where they often stumble. Despite initial friction, Celeste and Max eventually find common ground, growing to appreciate one another during campus scavenger hunts, decorating, and baking cookies, as they make their way to the championship trivia game.
