The Inspection

Ellis French, a young Black man who is openly gay, faces rejection from his mother and bleak prospects for his future. In search of purpose and belonging, he chooses to enlist in the Marines, determined to overcome the obstacles of a system that might otherwise discard him. Despite confronting ingrained bias and the relentless demands of boot camp, he uncovers surprising camaraderie and resilience within this new environment.
