Overview
Jimmy Rabbitte, fresh out of school, conceives an ambitious plan to form a soul band in the heart of his run-down neighborhood in north Dublin. He begins the task by recruiting musicians and vocalists from the local talent pool: discovering three gifted female singers living nearby, a dynamic lead vocalist named Deco at a wedding, and the seasoned trumpet player, Joey “The Lips” Fagan, who answers his advertisement.
