Sword of War

Set in the year 1100 in Italy, “Sword of War (2009)” revolves around the ambitions of the German emperor, Frederick, also known as Barbarossa, as he seeks to expand his rule to the central and southern regions in hopes of restoring the empire of Charlemagne. Opposing him is a determined young man from Milan, Alberto Da Giussano, who has assembled an army of 900 men from various cities, known as the “company of death,” with the aim of liberating the Northern territories from imperial control.
