In Queens, Mike Keegan is enjoying a celebration with his wife Ellie, his son Tommy, and their friends after being promoted to detective in a Manhattan precinct. Over in a high-class club, socialite Claire Gregory becomes an eyewitness to the murder of the club’s owner by notorious mobster Joey Venza. Mike’s new assignment involves protecting Claire during the night in her Manhattan apartment. As Venza continues to threaten Claire, Mike finds himself drawn into her world, causing inner turmoil as he struggles between his dedication to his family and his growing attraction to Claire and the allure of her lifestyle.
