“The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles” is an American television series that debuted on ABC, running from March 4, 1992, until July 24, 1993. The show was filmed in various locations across Wilmington, North Carolina, including the University of North Carolina Wilmington campus. It was an ambitious production by Amblin Entertainment and Lucasfilm, in collaboration with Paramount Network Television. The series dives into the early life of the fictional adventurer Indiana Jones, featuring Sean Patrick Flanery and Corey Carrier in the lead roles, while George Hall played an older version of Indy, and Harrison Ford made a guest appearance to bookend one episode. Conceived and executively produced by George Lucas, who also spearheaded the Indiana Jones film saga, the show had significant backing. Despite its considerable budget leading to a cancellation in 1993, fans were treated to four made-for-TV movies from 1994 to 1996 that sought to extend the series’ narrative.
