Overview
The Penguins of Madagascar is an American computer-generated animated TV series that began airing on Nickelodeon, featuring beloved characters from the DreamWorks Animation film Madagascar. This lineup includes the penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Private, and Rico; the lemur trio King Julien, Maurice, and Mort; and the chimpanzee duo Mason and Phil. Additionally, new faces such as Marlene the otter and a zookeeper named Alice join the ensemble. Notably, this is the inaugural Nicktoon collaboration with DreamWorks Animation.
The pilot episode titled “Gone in a Flash” premiered during the “Superstuffed Nicktoons Weekend” on November 29, 2008, and the series officially launched on March 28, 2009.
