Longtime best friends Lizzy and Luke have always been as close as family. During their childhoods, the two bonded over their shared experience of their parents’ divorces and have supported each other ever since. Despite remaining single as adults, they’ve decided to become parents together, but strictly in a non-romantic way involving medical assistance. After yet another unsuccessful attempt at starting their family, they end up at a bar, where Luke meets Prudence, a carefree British woman soon to return home. Although Lizzy isn’t Prudence’s biggest fan, mainly because of her habit of parading around their place unclothed, Luke is smitten. He spends all his remaining time with Prudence, leading to an unexpected twist—just as Lizzy discovers she is finally pregnant, Luke drops the surprise that he and Prudence have tied the knot.
