In the late 1980s, amid the frenzy of the “Satanic Panic,” a high school heavy metal band comprised of misfits stumbles upon an opportunity to exploit their town’s newfound obsession with the occult. This comes in the wake of a well-liked varsity quarterback’s sudden disappearance. As they build their image as a satanic metal band, a string of eerie murders, kidnappings, and so-called “supernatural activity” ensues, sparking a leather-clad witch hunt that points directly at them.
