Regrets of the Past

“Regrets of the Past” is a short film crafted by a dedicated team of local Austrian filmmakers with a vision of producing a top-notch sci-fi movie inspired by the Star Wars universe. The creators placed a strong emphasis on capturing the visual essence that closely mirrors the iconic style of the original trilogy by George Lucas from the 1970s. This narrative unfolds after the rise of the Galactic Empire (Star Wars – Episode III) and chronicles the journey of two Jedi knights on the run. Hounded by a relentless bounty hunter, Pash Sularen and his Padawan Kaila Dain find themselves stranded on a distant planet, where they must confront their history. Filming took place in Austria between 2013 and 2015, followed by an intensive year of post-production work. Comprised largely of seasoned professionals from the Austrian film industry, the team of 150 volunteered their time and expertise to bring this project to life.
