In 1908, Greenland sets the stage for Josephine, the headstrong and adventurous wife of renowned Arctic explorer Robert Peary. She ventures into the treacherous Arctic landscape to reunite with her husband on his quest for the North Pole. Despite her courage, Josephine’s lack of heed to seasoned polar adventurers’ warnings about the harsh winter proves perilous. The expedition eventually makes it to Peary’s base camp, but Josephine, undeterred, decides to brave the winter there. The only one by her side is Allaka, a young Inuit woman with deep knowledge of the unforgiving cold, who resides in an igloo.
