Noboru is an overlooked high schooler who admires Miyazaki, the school’s heartthrob. Miyazaki juggles his affections between two girls: the lively Momose and the affluent, popular Tetsuko. When caught with Momose, Miyazaki devises a plan to maintain his standing with Tetsuko by asking Noboru to pretend to date Momose. Out of their admiration for Miyazaki, Noboru and Momose agree to the ruse, parading as a couple before their peers.
