My One Christmas Wish

Jackie Turner is an exemplary college student, having faced abuse, neglect, and starvation in her childhood. Despite overcoming these adversities, the holiday season remains a challenging time for her. As she contemplates spending another lonely holiday at school, Jackie posts an ad on Craigslist titled “My ONE CHRISTMAS Wish” seeking a family for the holidays, offering to pay $8 per hour. Much to her astonishment, she receives an overwhelming number of responses. Alongside heartfelt offers from potential families, she hears from other youths dealing with the same loneliness during the festive season. Inspired by their stories, Jackie decides to host a large Christmas gathering. With the help of her adviser, friends, and support group, she aims to connect these individuals with families and ultimately finds a sense of belonging herself.
