In the romantic comedy Love Hard (2021), an LA woman, who hasn’t had much luck in her love life, finds herself smitten with a man from the East Coast through a dating app. Fueled by Christmas spirit and a desire to meet him, she makes a spontaneous decision to visit, only to realize she’s been deceived in classic catfish fashion. Yet, in an unexpected twist, the man she has been chatting with resides in the same town.
