In the modern-day backdrop of Texas, Maya (Tallie Medel) and her on-again, off-again partner Jules (Betsy Holt) find themselves in a car accident following a night filled with mischievous adventures in the woods. They are rescued from the crash by Freddy (Robert Longstreet), an oil worker dealing with the aftermath of a divorce, who starts to see reflections of his own hidden desires in Maya. As Jules recovers, a bond forms between Maya and Freddy, offering a balm to the pervasive quietness of their small-town existence.
