Hopeless, Romantic

In the film “Hopeless, Romantic” (2016), the storyline follows Matt, played by Brandon W. Jones, who decides to ask his girlfriend Alexis, portrayed by Cassi Thomson, to marry him. To ensure his proposal goes perfectly, he practices with his best friend Liz, played by Christa B. Allen. Enthralled by the romantic gestures from his favorite romantic comedies, he believes these will secure a “Yes!” from Alexis. However, she declines, suggesting that Matt is more smitten with the idea of love than with real, tangible relationships. After this unexpected turn of events, Matt immerses himself in rom-coms, strategizing how to win Alexis back. Liz, although skeptical of Matt’s plan, agrees to assist him in his endeavor. As they attempt to rekindle the romance, Matt slowly realizes that the distance between him and Alexis may signify a deeper change, and perhaps his affections lie elsewhere.
