Sophie Marlow, a highly successful attorney specialized in mergers and acquisitions, is summoned back to her hometown of Waynesbridge, Washington, after the passing of her beloved great uncle. Uncle Henry bequeathed 60% ownership of his expansive Marlow Maple Meadows, a lush sugar maple forest, to Sophie. Despite not visiting the property for years, she begins reliving the joyful memories of her past and unexpectedly runs into Sam, her childhood friend whom she hasn’t seen in years. Sam has also returned to the farm, having been left the other 40% of the property by Henry.
