Jonathan Anselme, a young British scholar, partners with amateur bird enthusiast Max Böhm to track storks as they migrate from Switzerland to Africa. Max’s goal is to uncover why certain birds fail to return from the journey. However, when Max is found dead under suspicious circumstances, Jonathan embarks on the adventure alone, unwittingly entangling himself in a global network of deception.
