American Dreams In China

Set during the transformative economic reforms of the 1980s, “American Dreams In China” follows the journey of three college friends united by their shared aspiration to experience the American dream. The trio consists of Cheng Dongqing, a rural youth determined to defy his farmer origins; Meng Xiaojun, a self-assured and skeptical thinker; and Wang Yang, a dreamy and passionate poet. Xiaojun manages to secure a U.S. Visa first, paving the way to study abroad.
