Steven Seagal stars as Mr. Alexander, a traditional mob boss who controls his criminal syndicate with a mix of honor and ruthless force. To carry out a straightforward prison assassination, he dispatches his top enforcer and protégé, Roman Hurst, played by Foster. When the mission fails, Hurst suffers the consequences of his botched task: exile in the city he nearly dominated. As tensions rise, a battle emerges for the city’s control involving Alexander, a calculating gangster known as ‘The Iceman,’ portrayed by Rhames, and an unforgiving Mexican cartel. Hurst, aided by an ex-con turned restaurant owner (Trejo) who has some surprising skills, must find his resolve to endure the tumultuous struggle and exact revenge on his betrayers.
