Nick Gunar is an exhausted and disillusioned ex-mercenary struggling to fit into civilian life. Desperate and with limited options, he accepts employment from the Nitro Mine Corporation to coerce the inhabitants of a South China Sea island into surrendering their claims to precious mineral assets. Although he detests taking on another mission, the promise of sufficient earnings to reunite with his separated family proves too tempting.
