Maggie, a meticulous single mom and college writing instructor from NYC, is determined to rekindle her relationship with her rebellious teen daughter, Summer. To do this, she embarks on a journey to a beloved Tuscan village from her youth. Upon arrival, Maggie reunites with Luca, a charming former flame who remains unmarried and lives with his elderly mother, Carmen. Meanwhile, Summer, longing for her “bad boy” boyfriend in New York, and Carmen, who secretly plans to marry her true love Marcelino in Rome, spontaneously take Luca’s car and head to the city.
