Shoot Me in the Heart

In “Shoot Me in the Heart” (2015), two young men, Soo-myung and Seung-min, encounter each other at Soori Hope Hospital, a dilapidated psychiatric facility tucked away on a mountain. Soo-myung has been confined there since he was nineteen after suffering trauma from his mother’s suicide and now lives with a fear of scissors. In contrast, Seung-min, a sane and accomplished paraglider, finds himself committed against his will by a deceitful half-brother who covets his inheritance. While Soo-myung endures his stay as a model patient in the face of abusive staff, Seung-min embodies a volatile spirit intent on escape. Eventually, Soo-myung becomes entangled in Seung-min’s daring plan to flee the hospital.
