In the year 2023, the city of Quito is surrounded by walls, imposed by the authoritarian military ruler, Leonardo Ponce, who seized power in the early 2010s. Marcos and Santiago lead a band of rebels and are on the brink of launching a coup. However, just before their planned attack, Santiago starts to probe and challenge the group’s motivations, prompting a collective reevaluation of their cause. Simultaneously, within his fortress, Ponce is keenly observing the strange activities around the city wall, and when one of the insurgents is captured, he attempts to extract critical information from them.
