The Ticking Man

On the isolated west coast of Scotland, a drug dealer betrays and murders the trafficker who supplies him with narcotics. The dealer is subsequently arrested and discovers that a pair of anonymous locals witnessed the crime, prompting him to hire a hitman to dispose of these possible informants. In front of a secluded police station, the hitman starts his stopwatch, darts across a road, leaps into his car, and speeds away with a screech, racing through the desolate landscape until he arrives at Bartoun, a tiny hamlet with only one street. Checking his timer, it registers 28 minutes, 36 seconds. Noticing a poster about a fair in a neighboring village, he learns that Bartoun’s residents are being asked to gather on Main Street at noon for transportation.
