Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

When Mary Elizabeth Steppe, better known as Lola, relocates from the bustling city of New York to the sleepy suburb of Dellwood, New Jersey with her mom and twin sisters, she feels her vibrant cultural life coming to an abrupt halt. At her new school, Lola, feeling out of place, strikes up a friendship with Ella, who shares her admiration for the rock band Sidarthur. The friendship is challenged by Carla Santini, the school’s reigning queen bee, as they vie for the starring role in a school production of *Pygmalion* and influence over their peers. Determined to see Sidarthur’s final concert despite it selling out, Lola and Ella concoct a daring plan to journey back to New York and purchase tickets from scalpers. Their adventure takes an unexpected turn when they become embroiled in an incident with Stu Wolf, Sidarthur’s lead singer and Lola’s idol, ultimately altering the course of their lives.
