Created by visionaries Ted Turner, Robert Larkin III, and Barbara Pyle, “Captain Planet and the Planeteers” is a classic animated series that champions environmental awareness. This engaging show, produced by a talented team including Pyle, Nicholas Boxer, Andy Heyward, and Robby London, initially aired on TBS between September 1990 and December 1992. Its sequel, “The New Adventures of Captain Planet,” created by Hanna-Barbera and Turner Program Services, ran from 1993 until 1996, with both series still available in syndication today as compelling edutainment pieces that promote eco-friendly values.

In February 2009, Mother Nature Network began showcasing episodes and previously unreleased footage of the beloved series online.
