In the summer of 2010, just before the Tunisian Revolution, 18-year-old Farah has recently finished school, and her family envisions her embarking on a medical career. However, her aspirations differ as she dedicates herself to a political rock band, revels in the vibrancy of life, and explores love and the nightlife of her city, much to the concern of her mother, Hayet, who is acutely aware of the perils in Tunisia.
