For over four decades, Germantown and Martin Luther King High Schools were fierce competitors. Due to a financial crisis last year, Philadelphia had to let go of more than 4000 staff members and shut down 37 schools, with Germantown High being among them. As a result, Germantown is now forced to merge with its old rival, King. A first-time head coach, who is just 27 years old, and a newly appointed principal, work tirelessly to motivate and unify young men facing tough challenges, guiding them to support one another in pursuit of a brighter future. “We Could Be King (2014)” is streaming free here.
