In July 1945, as World War II draws to a close, Japan faces immense pressure to accept the Potsdam Declaration. Endless cabinet meetings stretch through day and night without reaching a consensus. Amidst this turmoil, the U.S. devastates Hiroshima and Nagasaki with atomic bombs. General Korechika Anami struggles with the weight of making the right decision, while the Japanese Emperor is deeply concerned for his people.
