Set in the present day, the film follows artist Tom Warshaw as he reflects on the challenging experiences of his youth. Rewind to New York City in 1973, where 13-year-old Tom befriends Pappass, an intellectually disabled man. Amidst his mother’s struggle with depression after her husband’s passing, Tom is left to navigate life largely on his own.
