At the request of Roger Dorn, the charismatic new owner of the Minnesota Twins, Gus Cantrell, a former minor league pitcher whose career has seen better days, is tasked with managing the team’s struggling farm club. Unbeknownst to him, Dorn has a hidden agenda to stir up attention by orchestrating a showdown between the major league team and their motley crew of a Triple A affiliate.
