After the tragic loss of her husband and daughter, widow Ellie King heads to spend the Christmas holiday with her brother, Aaron Davis, and his children. As she navigates her grief, Ellie finds companionship not only in family but also through new friendships, like Mrs. Thompson, a local shopkeeper, and the charming Deputy Strode. Integrating well into her brother’s household, Ellie also becomes acquainted with Erik, a young man whom Aaron has generously welcomed into their family after being abandoned by his criminal father. When Aaron leaves town with plans to expand his farm, Ellie steps up to care for the kids. However, the joyous holiday spirit takes a twist when Aaron’s whereabouts become a mystery.
