Flowers Of Evil

Chaos erupts in the eastern part of Helsinki during the summer of 2015 when a Finnish family man is admitted to the hospital. In the wake of this event, groups of young individuals set cars and public buildings ablaze, clashing violently with security personnel and riot police. The story unfolds in reverse, leading us back to the height of the chaos and riots that conclude the film. As the narrative begins, tensions simmer beneath the surface, on the verge of eruption. In the suburbs, acts of vandalism and theft are frequent, along with hostility toward law enforcement and security staff. The fabric of this multicultural society, generally peaceful, is frayed by feelings of frustration, alienation, and poverty.
